Termite Fumigation Monitoring
The MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION you must ask BEFORE you sign any contract and pay your hard earned money to have
your property fumigated for Drywood termites is:
HOW DO I KNOW YOU REALLY KILLED
ALL THE TERMITES?
There is only one answer
You mustMONITOR the job, or you may have a
“fumigation failure,” andyour job will have to be done all over again!
All that aggravation of takingthe food out and the exterior
plant and shrub preparation and finding a place
for you, your family, and your pets to stay will need to be done all
over again.
Here’s the “only right way” to do the
job
1. First, our fumigator uses specialized instruments to
figure out in advance how much gas to put into the “tent” based on its size, the ground seal, the temperature,
the wind, and a few other factors .
2. As the experts we know that no matter how much time and
effort is put into “tenting” a building, the gas is going to leak (no tent is a perfect seal). If the gas leaks
too fast, you will have a fumigation failure. The termites WILL NOT be
killed.
3. How we can know for sure that we killed the termites is
that our tenting crew always monitors each job to check the gas concentration during the fumigation
process. If our monitoring equipment shows that the
gas is leaking too fast then we add more gas to make up for the loss and thus prevent a fumigation
failure.
Most fumigation companies do not monitor
their jobs
Here’s why - Even though the specialized monitoring equipment
is available to all companies, most choose not to monitor their jobs because the remote monitoring equipment is
expensive and you have to make extra trips to monitor the job. In other
words, it costs them extra time, money and effort to monitor the job. They will agree that they sometimes
have fumigation failures but not to worry, because if
a job has to be done over, it’s free as long as you keep on paying for the warranty. They will also tell you
that the majority of fumigations are successful if done properly without
monitoring.
What they can’t tell you, however is which jobs will result in a
fumigation failure.
What if it’s your job?
Let me
repeat this ALL IMPORTANT FACT:
In order to kill the
termites, the gas must remain inside the building at a
certain concentration for a certain amount of hours or the termites will not be
killed.
All Termpest jobs are monitored
and
All the
termites will be killed.
